About this Website

For as long as I can recall, I have always loved taking photos. As a visually-oriented person with the oft-maligned millenial compulsion to document, photography is an almost irresistable hobby. Throughout most of my life, I struggled with cheap point-and-shoot cameras trying to photograph the images that I envisioned. In mid-2013, coming out of long depression and working again, I finally saved enough money to purchase my first DSLR camera and equipment. Smitten at first unboxing, since then I have been teaching myself all that I can. Since moving to Minnesota, I have begun spending more time at lakes, parks, and nature preserves, exploring and capturing the great outdoors. My favourite things to photograph are animals and flowers.

My current cameras are the Canon EOS Rebel T5i with 18-135mm IS lens, and Nikon Coolpix S8100. Photos dated prior to 2011 were taken with the Nikon Coolpix 7900. Additionally, some photos dated 2015 or later may have been taken with a mobile phone, either the Samsung Galaxy 5 or Samsung Note models. This website also showcases promotional photos of myself; amateur modeling done for friend-photographers in my younger days, and current photos from conventions and public events where I attend or exhibit. Featured as well are albums of lesser, more casual creative projects. Once in awhile, when feeling crafty, I enjoy designing a wreath or artifical floral piece, decorating for parties, drawing/lettering chalkboard signs, and of course, baking and cooking my heart out to feed family and friends.
